Our mission
Running a skip hire business involves a lot of moving parts — drivers, vehicles, permits, customers, waste documentation, and compliance obligations that only seem to grow. Most operators are still managing this with a combination of spreadsheets, WhatsApp, and paper forms. We built SkipRoute to change that.
SkipRoute is a complete operations platform for UK skip hire companies. It brings job scheduling, fleet tracking, digital waste transfer notes, customer communications, and analytics together in one place — so operators can spend less time on admin and more time running a great business.
Built for UK compliance
The UK waste industry is entering a period of significant regulatory change. Mandatory Digital Waste Tracking (DWT) is coming into force in October 2026, requiring all waste movements to be recorded digitally. SkipRoute is designed from the ground up to meet these requirements — giving operators a smooth path to compliance before the deadline.
From digital waste transfer notes to council permit submissions and Environment Agency reporting, SkipRoute handles the compliance paperwork so operators don't have to.
The company behind SkipRoute
SkipRoute is a product of Saunders Simmons Ltd, a UK software company established in 2020 and based in Yeovil, Somerset. We design and build specialist operations software for industries that have historically been underserved by technology.
Our sister product, PaperRoute, serves the kerbside waste collection sector. Both products share the same philosophy: make operations simpler, compliance easier, and businesses more profitable.
